Chilli Flakes & Lemon…

Fish is great because there are many ways to cook it and because there is such a variety when it comes to choosing the fish to cook. Today I went for a fillet of a white fish, I like this fish because it doesnt have a super strong fishy smell  (I know that’s a weird advantage to mention considering I made fish, and fish should smell like fish, but sometimes fish can be a little bit too over powering – anyway don’t mind my crazy thoughts that I cant fully explain. Back to the fish, another ,valid, reason I like cooking this fillet is because it takes less than 5 minutes to be done, which is perfect when you have had a long day and just want to relax. I used lemon rind in this recipe but I’d advice that you don’t use too much, because it can end up tasting bitter along side the chilli flakes, so just use enough to taste, the zest.  I do hope you try the recipe below, if you do please take pictures and post them with the hashtag #inheatherskitchen on all social media sites so I can check it out. Serves 4

Ingredients

4 White fish fillets

1 Tspn Paprika

2 Lemons- rind and juice

1 Tbsp Dried Chill Flakes

2 Tspn Olive oil

Salt and Pepper

Method

  1. In a little bowl mix your oil and paprika together. Then with a brush, brush you fillets with the oil mixture. Then place on a heated sauce pan for 2 and half mins. Then flip over to the other side of the fillet .
  2. Then sprinkle your lemon rind and chilli flakes on top of the fillet, and season with the salt and pepper. After two minutes your fish should be done. Take it out of the pan and pour the lemon juice over the fillets. And you are done  :)
